SCALE-UP Physics Class

Associate professor Steven Lewis and assistant professor Craig Wiegert are collaborating to teach physics to engineering students with a new approach through group activity and instructor engagement. The SCALE-UP class model stands for Student-Centered Active Learning Environment for Undergraduate Programs that was developed at North Carolina State University. The model replaces traditional lectures with group-work class participation and use of technology that makes student and teacher interaction easier in a larger class setting.
