Stephen Carpenter (center, kneeling), Professor of Art Education at Penn State University, shows students how to make a ceramic filter from clay, sawdust and water during his workshop on Collaborative Creative Resistance. After firing in a kiln, the filters can remove biological impurities from water. The workshop was held in front of the Lamar Dodd School of Art.
